How to upload/download & Edit files in This Texture Gallery!
After you have Registered with the Gallery, and you have logged in, click on any category (I clicked on Landscape Textures) and you will see the page something like this below. Since I am admin, I have more buttons so don't worry if you see more buttons then you have on your menu bar. /smiles..
Important Note:
You can upload up to 8 megabytes at one time. No individual file may be larger than 2 megabytes. If you want to upload more than that, you must upload the files separately, use a different upload format, or ask Either Javebones or Me to allow larger uploads. You will have to email one of us for that. -so if you reduced them to 1K they should all go up nicely!
You will get a page that looks like this above, go next, next, until you get to the end of the pages of that Category that you are in and then Then click on the Add Items link.......If you do not see the (add Items menu), it may because you are not at the end of that particular Category, so keep clicking. If you still do not see a Add Items button when you get to the end, Contact the Admin me, or post in the Bug section of the forums.
Then scroll to the bottom of the page and you will find a drop down menu click on it and select the type of upload you want to do weather it is the BASE File name you want to have seen or, Caption and you want to put your own name in there, or you just want to leave it blank.
After you have selected the items you want and have added captions, blank, or file name hit the upload button to add the files to the Gallery.
Note: If you have files on a server you can link them to the server here. But most will probably want to just upload the files directly.
Note: You will need to select the drop down Menu every time you upload a page of files.
Click on the Add Items button and after it uploads you will see this below.
You can Edit your files under edit album and Edit Captions if you find that you need to.
Download a Photo:
Is easy, all you do is under the file you want to download is a drop down menu and in that Menu is a selection, Select: Add Photo to Cart, Later it will be renamed to (add to downloads), but that is in a couple of weeks. Next-------
You then, after you select the add to cart feature, it will being you to this page below.
At this point you can keep going by selecting {Going back after more textures} or you can (download in zip) either way works, and at the end if you want to keep browsing it will zip up all the selections you have made and download them to where you want them. Remember that you can only download 2 megs at a time for now. We will raise that soon, but for now that should be good I think.
